Inside the hut you can find a homely decor with a sofa to relax on while you admire the views through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, great for nature watching from the warmth of the hut. In milder temperatures enjoy sitting out on your own private decked terrace with a table and chairs and a barbecue for the perfect summer afternoon, all with the idyllic backdrop of the running river. Find a small kitchen space which holds all you need to rustle up some tasty dishes, including a microwave, small fridge/freezer and a 2-ring electric hob. Retire to the double bed at the end of the day to catch up on rest for all the coming adventures. The shepherd's hut has a cloakroom area in the corner with a chemical WC, but more facilities can be found on-site with a shared shower and WC block and a shared utility area with a washing machine. The Snowdonia National Park is on your doorstep, begin your activities here and head to Llanberis where the Snowdonia Mountain Railway begins, get the train up to the UK's highest visitor centre, Hafod Eryri, and experience stunning panoramic views of the area, or for those who enjoy the challenge of walking there are extensive trails and routes up Snowdon and the surrounding area perfect for walkers. Llanberis is also home to Snowdonia Watersports, a company which can offer sessions in paddle-boarding, wild swimming, coasteering and both inland and sea kayaking, adding a further taste of adventure to your holiday. Get your history fix and visit Dolbadarn Castle and the Llanberis Slate Museum in Llanberis, or head over to the coast to Caernarfon to see the Segontium Roman Fort and Caernarfon Castle with its unusual polygonal towers. Grab a fishing permit on-site and relax by the water with great fishing in the River Seiont, while golfers can delight in several excellent courses in the area including Caernarfon Golf Club and Bangor Golf Club.
